Frattesi's Feast

Inter have written a golden page in the history of the Champions League, defeating Barcelona with a spectacular score of 4-3 after extra time at the San Siro, and 7-6 on aggregate, in one of the most dramatic semi-finals ever in this competition.

After a 3-3 draw in the first leg, the electric atmosphere at San Siro erupted when Federico Dimarco snatched the ball from Dani Olmo and passed it to Dumfries, who set up Lautaro Martínez for the first goal. Just before half-time, VAR awarded a questionable penalty to Barcelona for a foul by Cubarsí on Martínez. Çalhanoglu made no mistake and put Inter 2-0 up.

But Barça, accustomed to coming back from a disadvantage, did not give up. Eric García scored a beautiful volley and then Olmo equalized on aggregate, after a precise cross from Martín. Raphinha turned everything around in the 88th minute, making the Catalans dream of the final.

But Acerbi brutally woke them up with the equalizer for Inter in the last minute.

In extra time, Frattesi scored the decisive goal after a perfect move by Taremi and Thuram. Inter defended the lead heroically, while Barcelona left the tournament in pain.

Now, Simone Inzaghi and his team will face the winner of Arsenal-PSG in the final on May 31 in Munich.
