Igli Tare faced an unusual episode after Franco Barezi's funeral in Italy.
The former Milan and Lazio sporting director was on a train when his bag was stolen from the overhead luggage rack.
The police reacted with a statement indicating that the perpetrator was identified after Tara's complaint at Roma Termini station.
Security camera footage helped the police, as the arrest was later made and the bag was returned to Tara.
"On the train, unfortunately, sometimes just a moment of distraction is enough to have an unpleasant surprise, as happened to Igli Tara, whose bag was stolen from the luggage rack above the seat.
However, fortunately, the sports director, as soon as he got off the train at Roma Termini station, reacted immediately by contacting the Railway Police of the Lazio region.
The police, thanks to security camera footage, managed to identify the perpetrator of the theft within minutes.
The perpetrator was located, arrested, and the bag was returned to its owner.
"What seemed to have started as a bad day ended in the best possible way thanks to the work of our police," the Police announced.
