Enkileda Çarja has been declared the new world champion in the weightlifting championship taking place in Peru.

Çarja triumphed in the weight class up to 64 kilograms, giving Albania its first success in this category.

An excellent competition by the Albanian weightlifter who also took bronze in the snatch in the junior category, finishing behind 2 Chinese athletes.

Enkileda Çarja also set 3 European records in this event, lifting 98 kilograms in the snatch, 115 in the clean and jerk, and 213 in total.

The 17-year-old has also achieved several other successes in the international arena.
