Hungary suffered a defeat only at the end of the match against Ireland, who spectacularly defeated Marco Rossi's team 2-3.

With this victory, Ireland has secured participation in the play-off phase of the 2026 World Cup, while Hungary ends its dream of a World Cup here.

This victory for Ireland also serves as an assist for Albania, as with this result, the red and blacks are one step away from the second pot.

The only things Albania needs now are for Iceland not to lose against Ukraine and on Tuesday, North Macedonia not to win against Wales.
