In Brazil, the issue of the Robinho scandal, the former striker of Milan, who has been declared guilty by final decision for the rape of a girl of Albanian origin, has come back into the spotlight.

A telephone intercept was recently published in the foreign media, where the former striker of the National Team, who has not been extradited to Italy to serve his 9-year sentence, tells his friends details of the criminal event. In the recordings dating back to 2014, it is clearly shown that the rape was carried out in a group as they talk about the strategy they should follow to protect themselves.

In the 2014 audio, the friends admit to group sex with the woman and talk about strategies to defend themselves against possible accusations.

Even if they call me for something, no problem. I go there and say: first, the story was a year ago. Secondly, I didn't even touch that girl," says Robinho, whose main concern was that the case would be published in the press: "I'm afraid of... if it doesn't appear in the press, it's very good. Imagine: "  Robinho's friends rape a girl in Italy ". What a phrase!”

Despite the denial of the facts, the audios make it clear that there was a group relationship and that the woman was unconscious due to the consumption of alcohol. 

"I slept with her, she blew me off and I left. The others stayed there. The camera wouldn't record me sleeping with the girl, or the girl sucking me, because if we didn't all have sex, she would explode, she sucked..." Robinho explains to one of his friends.

One of the strongest parts of the footage is when Robinho encourages his friends to attack the victim.

“Is she an idiot? We'll hit it! You're going to punch him and say, “Damn, what did I do to you? Did I do something to you?" he says.

The former footballer was sentenced in the first instance, in 2017, to nine years in prison for a crime of rape in a nightclub in Milan in 2013, when he was playing for Milan. 

According to Italian justice, Robinho and four friends abused a young Albanian woman who was celebrating her birthday that day. Robinho is currently free in Brazil due to the impossibility of extradition./ UOL
