September 4, Albania plays its first match in history against Gibraltar

The national team will return to action on September 4, kicking off the month with a friendly against Gibraltar. This will be the first-ever meeting between the two teams.

A friendly match between Albania and Gibraltar was planned in 2020 at the "Elbasan Arena" stadium, but it did not take place due to the restrictive measures of the COVID-19 pandemic, which made it impossible to organize the match and travel for the teams.

The September 4 meeting will take place at the Europa Point Stadium in Gibraltar, at 6:00 PM.

After this challenge, the Rossoneri will return to Tirana for the second match of the month, against Latvia, to be played on September 9 at the "Air Albania" stadium. The match against Latvia is valid for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
