Analyst Preç Zogaj through a Skype connection for the show 'Breaking' with journalist Fiori Dardha in Top News talked about the Opposition Federation recently formed by the Re-establishment group and 11 other parties in front of the Rama government.
Zogaj described the alliance as a 'mechanical union' that does not increase votes for the Albanian opposition. According to him, the opposition is failing to offer a reliable alternative to citizens who are dissatisfied with the country's governance.
"This mechanical union does not enlarge the opposition, it keeps it so that it is even smaller. The vast majority of citizens in Albania, according to many surveys, around 60%, are dissatisfied with the government. Meanwhile, 37% are satisfied with Rama. But what is the difference, these 37% of Rama are in the box, while those of the opposition are scattered because there is a very large electorate that does not find itself among these subjects. If we will move from the war within the species to the state of competition of different political subjects'' - said the analyst.
Among other things, referring to former Prime Minister Sali Berisha's stance on the Special Prosecutor's Office, Zogaj said that being against SPAK is the same as being against the USA.
"Being against SPAK means being against America. There is opposition in Albania, which is about the basic problems of the citizens, about demographic issues, which is a problem. The opposition has an infinite number of problems that it can turn into options'' - added Zogaj.
According to the analyst, the opposition federation should come up with an option for Electoral Reform and a candidate for prime minister who is universally accepted by the parties.
"These can institutionalize such a relationship, come up with an option for the Electoral Reform and an all-accepted candidate for prime minister, in the example of an experience that Italy has exhausted with great success a few years ago" - argued Zogaj.
