Prime Minister Edi Rama hosted the President of the United Arab Emirates Mohamed bin Zayed the day before.

Rama shared photos from their meeting on Facebook and described his visit as historic.

Edi Rama:  Good morning and with the photo album of a historic visit, the first arrival in Albania of the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nayan, with whom we set new milestones of cooperation on a path of brotherly friendship, I wish you a good week.

The two delegations signed two agreements yesterday.

The first will serve to create a joint energy production company between the two countries, which was signed by the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Belinda Balluku, as well as the chairman of MASDAR Sultan Al Jaber.

The second agreement is related to the smart city project in Albania.

Finally, Prime Minister Edi Rama and the President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohamed bin Zayed, held a face-to-face meeting.
