The leader of PDIU, Shpëtim Idrizi has emerged optimistic after the meeting with the head of the parliamentary group of SP, Taulant Balla, where according to him, we will not have a President unilaterally elected by the majority.
Idrizi stressed that the new President should have political experience, while adding that the time has come for the parties to speak with concrete names.
"We stressed that the President should be a person with deeply political experience. He is the man who represents the unity of the nation. Certainly a president who carries consensus would play this role much better. We found a good will. We will not have a President elected unilaterally by the majority. I would invite all parties that we seek a President for the parties and the figure should unite us. We had an agreement with the representatives of the SP that it is time to speak with concrete names. We must give Albanians a President with public weight because Albanian politics creates many crises. I invite all parties to unite in all the constitutional prerogatives required for the President of the Public ", said Idrizi.
Asked why he does not expect to negotiate as a whole with the DP, Idrizi said: "We can not condition anyone in the format they choose to talk. We can not leave Albanians in the dark for the human election process. most important in the state pyramid. PDIU has taken this responsibility ".
