The Embassy of Palestine in Albania has reacted to the fierce armed conflict that broke out in Israel and Gaza after the surprise attack by the terrorist forces of Hamas.

Through a press release, the Palestinian embassy in Tirana calls on the international community to intervene immediately to "end Israel's barbaric campaign against the Palestinians."

The Palestinian Embassy claims that it is Israel that "opened a war" against the Palestinian people in Gaza, noting that the attacks of the last two days have caused hundreds of casualties among civilians, including children, voxnews.al reports.

"Given the open war declared by Israel against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the increasingly critical situation of the Palestinian people under the colonial occupation of Israel and the apartheid regime in the rest of the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, the international community must immediately intervene and provide international protection to the Palestinian people and end the barbaric campaign of death and destruction undertaken by Israel. The international community must also act on their collective political, legal, humanitarian and moral responsibilities to this protracted injustice. He has a responsibility to promote accountability, which is the only remedy that must be applied to this illegal and despicable situation.

The Palestinian people will continue to defend themselves, their homes, and their fundamental right to live in freedom and dignity, free from occupation, apartheid and persecution," declared the Embassy of Palestine in Tirana.
