The last public appearance of former minister Arben Ahmetaj was when he went to the session of the Assembly while a criminal charge had just been made against him for the incinerators issue.

All this time he has tried to keep a low profile, until two days ago his absence became noticeable. The Socialist Parliamentary Group together with the government gathered in an informal meeting in one of Elbasan's restaurants.

This meeting takes place every year before the end of the year holidays and all socialist deputies and members of the government take part in it. That everyone has received nominal invitations to be a part of this festive dinner.

But the absence of deputy Arben Ahmetaj was noticed at the socialist tables. Many of the deputies commented on the absence among themselves and all had different variants of the reason for the absence, from poor health to engagement in an international project in Morocco.

Other members of the group were missing from the socialists' dinner, two of whom, Lefter Koka and Alqi Blako, are in prison for the incinerators issue. Meanwhile, even though there is evidence for Arben Ahmetaj, there is still no lawsuit against him, and the evidence has been overlooked by the two prosecutors of the case./ Tch
