Rama: Tirana today is the cleanest city, the incinerator project is ongoing
Edi Rama

During the communication with journalists and citizens, Rama was also asked about the incinerators.

" While I can explain it 5 times, the lie is repeated 5 million times. We pay the price for the collection and treatment of waste at the Sharra plant where the process starts from collection to processing and energy production.

It has nothing to do with what we pay. Every municipality to evacuate the waste and they do not stay in a place that pollutes the world like until yesterday they have to pay and there are two ways: citizens pay from their taxes or state subsidy.

Our price is the lowest in the region. And that's the reason for making a long-term partnership so that people don't pay a high cost and get poisoned. It is an ongoing project. All waste is processed there, and when the waste-to-energy transfer plant is built, it is the final product. Tirana is the cleanest city in Europe. Did all the garbage go to one place and the combine stinks. Cities have been saved thanks to these works" , said Rama.
