Rama: We are not against a Greek public school in Himara! Bring us the teachers
Prime Minister Edi Rama

Prime Minister Edi Rama says he has no problem opening a Greek school in Himara, saying that this school could even be public with teachers from Greece.

In an interview with the Greek television "Mega", Rama said that he discussed this matter with Greek Prime Minister Kiryakos Mitsotakis.

Excerpt from the interview:

I was talking to the Greeks of Himara and they were telling me that there is a petition to grant permission for a school so they can continue their studies...

No, that's incorrect. I've learned this since the day I was born, and your prime minister is very attentive to the Greek minorities in Albania. It's not good for me to have to explain it to them.

Since he told me, I said yes but the problem is that the Greek Ministry of Education has to provide teachers for a private school. Yes, private, we have no problem, it can also be public.

Listen, there is no problem with ethnic Greeks in Albania, there were some in the distant past who were embarrassing for our side, but otherwise there is no such problem.
