On Thursday, Albania and Montenegro, represented by Prime Ministers Edi Rama and Miljoko Spajič, will participate for the first time in the meeting of the European Economic and Social Committee.

This institution aims to include in it, the states in the process of expansion. The plenary session of this committee also includes in the agenda Maroš Šefčovič, the Vice President of the European Commission, the Commissioner for Democracy and Demography Dubravka Šuica and the Deputy Secretary General of the UN Tatiana Molcea.

Before this event, during the afternoon of today, Prime Minister Rama will have meetings with the president of the European Commission, Ursula Von Der Leyen, and the President of the European Council, Charles Michel.

At the center of this meeting will be the economic growth plan for the region and the opening of negotiations for the first membership chapters, a process that is blocked by Greece.
