Rama-Berisha towards peace? Gogu and Tabaku co-direct the Integration Council:
Toniu Gogu and Jordia Tabaku

The "white smoke" of the rumored negotiations, last week, between the PD of Reestablishment and the socialist majority for the return of normality in the country's parliamentary life, has appeared before the meeting of the Conference of Speakers, where Gazment Bardhi is expected to return at 13:30, after 5 months of boycott.

It was the table of the Integration Council, which brought together the socialist Toni Gogu and the democrat, Jorida Tabaku, who as co-chairs led the regional meeting on the topic "Growth Plan for the Western Balkans and its impact on the acceleration of the reforms of the state of of law".

A sign that the rumored "peace" between the parties is approaching, Tabaku said at the beginning of her speech that government-parliament cooperation is important to advance the process of Albania's integration into the EU.

"Monitoring the integration process in independent institutions, the obligations arising from the reports of the EU countries and the progress report, force a cooperation between the government and the parliament. The new law on the role of the Assembly in the integration process, has given more functions to the parliament from the point of view of monitoring that the government cannot take, which belong to the institution of the parliament and which should be carried out through the National Integration Council and the Commission of European Affairs. The government has its own role and its own parliament, for this that's why we have to ensure the separation of function and control", said Tabaku.

Tabaku also had a message about the political crisis that has been going on since October 5, asking the parties to focus on the integration process at this moment where the country is.

"It is unforgivable that at a time when we should make the integration process a priority, we focus on other interests that go against the integration process."
