Italian politician: Immigrants will be reluctant to leave when they learn that

Italian politician Giulio Tremonti says that the agreement between Edi Rama and Giorgia Meloni to bring thousands of illegal immigrants from Africa and the Middle East to Albania will have an effect.

According to him, immigrants will be reluctant when they learn that they have paid money to go to Italy, but are being sent to Albania.

He also said that European countries should take measures to help migrants in their countries of origin, then blocked and detained.

"It is a problem felt by everyone. I believe that two things are right: first to help them at home, then the blocking and detention activities. This agreement has an effect: those who pay to come to Italy know that they are not coming to Italy, but going to Albania.

"Alliances between countries are essential: simply the fact that other countries seek alliances outside their borders is the right way," said Italy's former finance minister.
