The Secretariat of Ethics in the Assembly has not accepted the DP's request to expel Socialist MP Taulant Balla, following the debate and insult against Democratic MP Albana Vokshi during the last plenary session.
The opposition had requested Balla's expulsion from the Assembly for 60 days, after he addressed Vokshi with an offensive comment, telling him that he "has the number 0900". However, the Ethics Secretariat decided not to take disciplinary action against him.
Meanwhile, the clashes and harsh language in the Parliament hall have also brought reactions from the majority. The Socialist Party has proposed a resolution in the Assembly to condemn offensive language and the degradation of political debate in parliamentary sessions.
