At the end of his speech lasting over an hour, Prime Minister Rama thanked Balluku for leading the Ministry of Infrastructure for six years, adding that in confronting the judiciary, she will only have her lawyers by her side.
He stated that SPAK's request for her arrest is not justified by the evidence submitted by the Special Prosecution, especially considering the fact that Balluku is also the single parent of a young daughter.
Rama concluded his speech by apologizing to Balluk for not accepting the three resignations she submitted, while reminding him that in the battle with justice, the former minister, now only an MP, will only have her lawyers on her side.
Rama: I thank Belinda for the great work she did in the duties I entrusted to her for 6 years in a row and I wish her the luck she deserves, whatever the luck she deserves, in the legal battle for which she will have only her lawyers by her side. I apologize for the repeated rejections of her 3 resignations which, regardless of her interest or even the point of view of some friends here to ease the pressure on her or on us. I rejected them because the judiciary was violated unintentionally or intentionally, we will learn this and be sure that if I learn it, I will tell you, it was violated in the territory of the independence of the independent executive and legislative power. The power here comes from the vote of the people and this will be intolerable as long as I am in this position.
