Prime Minister Edi Rama has cast doubt on the intercepted conversation at SPAK , part of the file submitted to Parliament, which is a telephone conversation between a defendant in this case and a co-interlocutor.

Rama stated that the request to lift the immunity of an MP is not justified, even if there were serious words and scenarios in that conversation, mentioning one of them, where Balluku personally threatened the defendant.

Edi Rama : The statements of a defendant are taken with reserve. I hear the defendant say: Balluku tied me to a chair, personally put a knife to my throat that had a few drops of dried blood on it, and said he would kill me if I didn't say so. Can anyone tell me how one gets into the Assembly with a phone conversation without any cross-examination of evidence or verification of how, when and where this happened, no matter how horrifically it is presented in a phone conversation?
