While calling the justice system "biased" and "unprofessional," Prime Minister Rama said that the 'Balluku' case is not the first, but not the most difficult. Here he brought to attention the Erion Veliaj case, saying that for him the principle of presumption of innocence did not exist and the media trial was a "massacre of stones and spit."

"Unfortunately, it is not the first, but fortunately it is not the most difficult either. Unlike what happened with the mayor of Tirana, whose presumption of innocence did not exist even before he was questioned for the first time, and the media trial against whom was another massacre of stones and spitting, with a guidebook, worthy of the Middle Ages and not of a European society."

I said fortunately that the Constitution gives us the right to judge the desire, need and arguments of the prosecutor to request an arrest without trial because this is what all Albanians should understand about our position, mine, arrest without trial. Nothing more, nothing less. Thus, the Constitution gives us the opportunity to neither lose sight of, nor have the power to help the biggest victim to date of the justice reform. Do you know who is the biggest victim of the justice reform? The presumption of innocence", said Rama.
