The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has reacted after Prime Minister Edi Rama's stance in defense of former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku. In a press conference from the Blue headquarters, the Democratic leader accused Rama of attacking justice and the European integration process.

"Edi Rama today challenged every Albanian, he challenged Albanian citizens. It is not an attack mainly from SPAK, against justice, because in this regard, justice is representing you, it is representing the law and your interests. But this is a direct attack against you, against your dignity, against your freedoms. This is an attack with which Edi Rama tells you that he is above the law and that he, as a true narco-dictator, decides in this country about everything and everything. Today, he proved more than ever that he is ready to use his criminal mandates as bayonets against Albanian citizens and their interests as a whole. And in particular to close the doors of Albania's integration into the EU", Berisha said.

According to him, the message the Prime Minister gave was that Balluku is untouchable and that justice cannot act against her.

"Rama removed every kind of mask and publicly came out in total defense, putting the country's Constitution, the country's laws, the separation of powers and the European integration process at stake. Edi Rama told Albanians today that Belinda Balluku is untouchable. That Skapi is a zero with a tail. That justice does not exist. And that he has no intention of respecting anything from the Constitution and the country's laws."
