Today, the 'Open Balkan' Summit will be held in Belgrade, where the focus of the talks will be trade.
This meeting is expected to be finalized with the lifting of restrictions on unrestricted food trade.
The agreement completely unblocks trade between the Open Balkan states, so as not to repeat the situation when, due to the war in Ukraine, Serbia blocked grain for Albania and oil for North Macedonia.
In addition to the three leaders, Edi Rama, Aleksandër Vucic and Dimitar Kovacevski, the acting Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazovic, will also be present, as well as representatives from Hungary and Turkey. The press conference of the leaders of the Open Balkans is expected at 13:00.
Since yesterday, Rama has been in Belgrade, where the Wine Fair was opened, which is entitled "Vision of Summer" and was organized by Albania, Serbia and North Macedonia within the Open Balkans initiative. 250 producers from all over the world participate in the 4-day Fair, while 22 are from Albania.
