The new President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj has held today a meeting with the current President Ilir Meta. This meeting came after Begaj had met earlier and some of the other former presidents.

It was Meta, who announced the meeting with his successor at the head of the Presidency, as he published some photos with Begaj on social networks.

The meeting between Ilir Meta and Bajram Begaj took place in the premises of the Palace of Brigades. The meeting was also attended by the Chief of Cabinet of President Meta, Edmond Panariti.

"It is a pleasure to receive today the elected President, Mr. Bajram Begaj and to wish him again success in his high office, which awaits him in the interest of the country and all citizens." writes Meta next to the photos.

Recall that Meta signed in Istanbul the decree for the release of Bajram Begaj from the post of Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, not preventing him from being elected president.
