President Ilir Meta has stated that he had warned former Prime Minister Sali Berisha that he would be declared "non grata" by the United States of America, a few months before this happened.
He further added that the former leader of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, was also a collaborator in the process of declaring Berisha "non grata".
"We have an opposition crisis. Some are continuing their cooperation with the government, some are indifferent, but we have an opposition in parliament and an opposition action. I have talked every day about all the problems of the country. The next role starts on April 25, the costume is removed. The country needs opposition. I do not want to get into such issues for such reasons as what interests me is for Albania to return to the Albanians.
I can tell you that I warned Mr. Berisha that he would be declared non grata before this happened and I told him that Lulzim Basha was also part of this process. Rama was the leader but this was the most dangerous, because he was closer.
I have all the information on these issues and I am not at all surprised by what is being done, Mr. Berisha is a politician with a contribution to our country. I am convinced that this cooperation is deeper. "Basha was a collaborator" , said Meta in the show "Open".
