Democratic deputy Xelal Mziu has stated that he can accept to be a candidate for the municipality of Kamza, while he did not rule out the possibility of competing in Dibër as well.

Mziu said that they are working on a united DP, stressing that whoever tries to have two candidates for one municipality is Rama's crutch.

"I am fully committed, also because of my function and my past, to contribute to Diber, Tirana and everywhere to defeat 'Rilindje'. In every area I go, I guarantee to defeat 'Rilindje'. I have defeated it 8 times in Kamez. I defeated him at the height of vote manipulation in Dibër. The Democrats are asking for unification, there is communication 'underground' about a united DP and I believe that this will be achieved. I believe that the DP will be with one candidate, and it will not succeed I give this government the luxury to take it to the table. It will not happen with two candidates. Whoever tries to have two candidates within the DP is Rama's crutch.

Normally in Dibër I have one more option to win in all the municipalities of the district. If the situation in Kamez does not guarantee another candidate who can beat the 6-percent, I would be willing to take away that opportunity. Until the election, the DP will unite and unify in one candidate" - said Mziu on MCN TV.
