The boards that determine the prices of fuels and basket products will not be dissolved. This is what the Minister of Finance Delina Ibrahimaj stated at the media conference after the end of the Government meeting.

Ibrahimaj stated that the boards have done their job and according to citizens they are paying the lowest possible prices. A strange statement, since many times the Board has been accused of keeping the retail price of oil higher than on the stock exchange.

"Extraordinary times force us to make extraordinary decisions. From the analyzes that we have carried out, both boards have done their work with the aim of limiting the increase in prices to those levels without affecting speculations, without affecting the prices, we have waited for these prices to materialize.

We will continue to keep tabs on fuel prices and some basket products for as long as we will be affected by the exponential increase in prices on international exchanges in order to guarantee that citizens pay the lowest possible price for these products and to limit each speculation that can happen in the market with subsequent price increases", said Brahimaj.
