Socialist Party MP Ilva Gjuzi appeared this Tuesday at the meeting of the Committee on Natural Resources and Infrastructure together with her baby.
Her presence in the Commission with Blini with her attracted a lot of attention from the media and the public, as they were confronted with a sight that we can say is rare for Albania.
Recently, the MP herself spoke out, revealing that her little one is only 38 days old and that she needs to take him with her.
"Blini was definitely welcome and I am glad that motherhood is well understood in the spaces of the Parliament, as a duty that we cannot separate from our reality."
We had some important issues to discuss today, Blini got his attention as much as he needed, and then we continued and focused on the meeting. Blini will continue to be with me because he is only 38 days old. Until he grows up a little, I will 'delegate him to his grandmother'", he told "Shqipëria Live".
Gjuzi is not the only one who has made this "sacrifice" to attend the committee meeting that was constituted today. Earlier, MP Hanna Steinmüller also went to the Bundestag with her baby in her arms and made headlines in foreign media. Steinmüller, from the Green Party, was holding her young son when she gave a speech in the Bundestag.
"This wasn't planned. I only brought my son because he was sleeping. I thought, if I pass him to a colleague now, I'll wake him up," she said.
