'Who is afraid dies every day', what happened to the acting president

Acting President Ilir Meta has commemorated the 30th anniversary of the murder of Italian judge Paolo Borselino. Through a post on Facebook, the head of state writes that Borsellino, like Giovanni Falcone earlier, paid with his life for the fight against the mafia, becoming a symbol of the rule of law.

Meta points out that their sacrifice is an inspiration to crush the mafia at every level. " Who is afraid dies every day. He who is not afraid dies only once !" (Paolo Borsellino)

As today, 30 years ago, Paolo Borsellino, like him earlier and Giovanni Falcone, paid with his life the just fight against the mafia, to always remind us that only united in defense of the rule of law and human dignity can free society and institutions from the grip of organized crime.

Their sacrifice is an inspiration to crush the mafia at every level and restore citizens' trust in Justice!

Even today, Falcone and Borsellino inspire all honest prosecutors, judges and politicians to defeat the mafia and protect freedom everywhere in the world.
