The leader of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, has accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of favoring Greece in the negotiation process with Albania on the delimitation of maritime zones (known as the Sea Issue).

Through a post on social networks, (where he also published the information letter he had sent while he was president, on July 21, 2022, to the Speaker of the Parliament at the time, Lindita Nikolla, and all MPs, on the open issue of the negotiation process between Albania and Greece, on the delimitation of maritime zones) Meta wrote that Edi Rama in 2020 went against his positions of 2009 (when he criticized the agreement reached by former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, which was overturned by the Constitutional Court).

Further, Meta, while calling Rama a bargain hunter, emphasizes that the prime minister, under the pressure of the 'New Democracy' Party in Greece (which wanted to undo the entire negotiation process conducted in 2018), fulfilled the demands of the Greek side, becoming, according to him, the spokesperson for the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

All those who followed Prime Minister Rama's statement on 20.10.2020 alongside the Greek Foreign Minister, Dendias, were happy because they said, finally, this Sea Issue, which drove us crazy for 11 years, was resolved with justice and understanding between the two sides.

But those few people who were inside the history and dynamics of this issue understood that at that moment the Prime Minister of Albania was acting with unbridled zeal as the voluntary Spokesperson of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and therefore the head of Greek diplomacy was nodding his head, with great pleasure, to this "agreement" between the two parties, while at that moment there was only one side on the screen, namely the Greek side (the Minister with the voluntary Spokesperson).

It is proven with state documents classified for 50 years that Greek diplomacy under the leadership of "New Democracy" wanted to undo the entire negotiation process developed in 2018, which favored Albania, which was damaged by the 2009 Agreement due to double standards, which the great "patriot" Edi Rama himself, at that time in opposition, had denounced, all the way to the Constitutional Court, which not only considered the 2009 Agreement unconstitutional, which "surprisingly" from a formal point of view, had not only excluded the plenipotentiary power of the President of the Republic, but had also violated the Prime Minister's Order.

Not only that, but thanks to Edi Rama's own investment in the opposition at the time, the Constitutional Court issued a special binding decision on how an agreement like this or similar to it should be negotiated.

Pikërisht, në respekt të këtij vendimi por edhe zgjidhjes përfundimtare të kësaj çështjeje me Greqinë, në bashkëpunim të plotë me Qeverinë dhe propozimet e saj, nga unë, si President i Republikës, u dha Autorizimi Nr.733, datë 19 mars 2018, dhe Plotfuqia për grupin negociator.

Pasi u bë një punë voluminoze dhe u dakordësua në nivel teknik mbi 80% e çështjeve të mbetura, papritur pala greke kërkon që për çështjet e mbetura, negociatat të zhvilloheshin bazuar në vullnetin politik të dy palëve.

Për këtë arsye, unë takohem në Presidencë me Kryeministrin Rama, më 13 qershor 2018 dhe biem dakord që këto çështje të mbetura t’i negocionte ai në bazë të vullnetit politik me palën greke për ta mbyllur këtë çështje përgjithmonë në interesin e dyanshëm dhe para zgjedhjeve në Greqi.

Natyrisht, që të bëhej kjo duhej një Autorizim plotfuqishmërie nga Presidenti i Republikës, që mund të bëhej vetëm pas kërkesës zyrtare për t’u pajisur me të nga Kryeministri.

Një kërkesë e tillë nuk erdhi kurrë sepse Edi Rama u urdhërua të mos e mbyllte marrëveshjen. (Nga kush?!)

Ndërkohë u shpik mashtrimi, që iu servir palës greke, por edhe opinionit se pengesë po bëhej Presidenti Meta.

Ndaj pas 3 muajsh pritjeje, më 21 shtator 2018, me shkresën Nr. 327/9 i kërkoj Kryeminstrit Rama të sillte kërkesën për Autorizimin për të mbyllur negociatat me palën greke.

Pra isha unë që doja t’i jepja Autorizimin dhe jo ai që e kërkonte.

Kjo më detyroi të sqaroja gjerë e gjatë edhe Z. Avramopulos, Komisioner i BE, gjatë një vizite në Tiranë, kur ai më pyeti se pse po e bllokoja unë Marrëveshjen.

Pasi e sqarova në mënyrë shteruese se “bllokimi” im ishte mashtrimi i radhës i kërkova t’i transmetonte Kryeministrit Tsipras vullnetin tim më të fortë për ta mbyllur këtë çështje përgjithmonë.

Por me zgjedhjet e korrikut të vitit 2019 dhe fitoren e “Demokracisë së Re”, e cila ishte edhe nënshkruese e Marrëveshjes së vitit 2009 për Detin, qëndrimi i Greqisë zyrtare ndryshoi.

Ajo kërkonte “anullim loje” për negociatat zyrtare të 2018 dhe dakordësimet e arritura midis dy palëve.

Por që grekët të dilnin seriozë (siç edhe janë për çështjet kombëtare) nuk donin të mohonin vetë dakordësimet e arritura zyrtarisht në vitin 2018, ndaj kërkuan një karagjoz si Zëdhënës vullnetar në Tiranë.

Pse të dilnin grekët kundër grekëve? Pse të dilte Mitsotakis kundër Tsipras? Pse të dilte Dendias kundër Kotzias? Ishte gati Edi Rama i vitit 2020 të dilte gati kundër Edi Ramës së vitit 2018 dhe Edi Ramës së vitit 2009. Se mos e ka për herë të parë.

Si mund ta humbte këtë rast kameleoni Kryeministër?

Aq më tepër në kushtet kur opozita kishte braktisur Kuvendin dhe askush nuk mund t’i kërkonte llogari.

Për më tepër që në Hagë do e çonte “zgjidhjen”, pra në Hollandën e “kryeopozitarit” të asaj kohe.

“Shumë mirë” që Kryeministri i Shqipërisë u dakordësua me palën greke.

Po dakordësimin brenda palës shqiptare si e formësoi dhe zyrtarizoi?

Në bazë të cilit akt kushtetues, ligjor apo administrativ?

As the "hazërxhevap" that he is, he can answer that he, Prime Minister Edi Rama, agreed with the Foreign Minister, Edi Rama and that was enough at that time!! And what does it matter that it is the same person, are they two different functions?!

As if this trampling of the official negotiations of 2018 and their achievements in the interest of Albania were not enough, when the Greek side announced 12 miles, it ran hosannas in the media, while it should have followed the proper path according to international law to complain about this unilateral action.

For a text message from Rama and Veliaj, Albania lost over $120 million in international arbitration from Beket's company.

Meanwhile, Edi Rama knows very well what awaits him in The Hague, also from "Omnis Strategy", the company (owned by Mrs. Blair) that he paid 3 million euros to as a consultant on this matter, whose conclusions were never made public. (But why?!)

Meanwhile, to cover up these constitutional, legal, and national crimes in the 2023 local elections, he invented the patriotic story against Fredi Beleri, who was also kidnapped in a mafia-like manner and who still won, for God's sake.

The Greeks were "sad" about Beleri and Himara, but only for a short time, as local elections are held every 4 years, while the sea is divided forever.

Moreover, Rama replaced a self-proclaimed Greek Himariot with a Greek certified as such for centuries and by Dropulli.

So "win-win" Himara went too. But The Hague is completely different. It is a loss warned from all directions and irreparable for our national interests, forever.

And to prove to the Greeks that the patriotic hysteria of 2009 was just a power play against Berisha and nothing more, he also put the "cherry on the cake", the Chief Negotiator of the 2009 Agreement as Foreign Minister, wanting to make "idiots" forever not only the Albanians of North Macedonia, but all Albanians in the world (and especially the socialists).

Oh, I forgot, in the negotiating framework in the EU, care was taken to also resolve the dispute with the neighbors.

So the alibi that for the sake of integration we will give up a little sovereignty because the EU demands it of us, from which we ourselves demanded this condition, is a "talk" that could cost Albanians tens or hundreds of billions of euros.

But in the end, the integration joker reasons, these "idiots" who continue to pay hundreds of millions of euros for an incinerator that doesn't exist, why would they worry about tens or hundreds of billions of euros at the bottom of the sea that they can't see today.
