Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation, Blendi Gonxhja, is the most voted candidate for deputy at the national level from the open list.
While a portion of the diaspora votes belonging to Greece still remain to be counted, Gonxha has received 21,809 votes, topping the list of candidates of all parties that competed in the May 11 elections.
Second on the list is MP Erjon Braçe, with 20,261 votes, while third is DP candidate Jorida Tabaku with 18,850 votes.
Tabaku is also the most voted female candidate nationwide on the preferential vote list of all women and girls who participated in the elections.
Two of the new names on the lists, previously unknown in politics, who received the most votes are the SP candidate in Durrës Arkend Balla with 18,651 votes and the SP candidate in Elbasan Sara Mile with 18,626 votes.
Meanwhile, 65 candidates from different parties did not receive a single vote in this race.
This has mostly resulted in candidates from open lists of small parties in various regions of the country.
This means that neither the candidate themselves, nor their family or friends voted for them.
For many of them, it seems that the candidacy was formal and without any attempt to attract voters.
