"Will the roads be blocked"? - What are the DP's options for

Sali Berisha said this Wednesday that for the February 28 protest, the opposition will explore new forms of uprising, emphasizing that all options are open.

Asked by journalists at the blue headquarters, Sali Berisha further added that blocking roads will also be a form of protest.

Question: Was the type of protest agreed upon, on February 28th?

Sali Berisha: We are agreeing. It will be different. We are now moving to different forms of protests, diversifying them, being creative. New forms will be explored.

Question: One of the forms? Blocking roads?

Sali Berisha: All forms are under consideration and this is just a protest. We only have a protest. Nothing is excluded. Let's be realistic. The options are all there.

February 28 will be the third consecutive opposition protest in 2026, demanding the removal from power of the Socialists led by Prime Minister Edi Rama, due to criminal charges of corruption and abuse of office against some of the highest state officials.

It remains to be seen what "new forms" the Democratic Party will explore, as past rallies have seen clashes between protesters and State Police officers and attacks on institutions with Molotov cocktails.
