The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, declared in his weekly speech in front of the Prime Minister's Office that the February 20 protest was a day of triumph.

He greeted the citizens who participated and said they terrified the regime.

Berisha stressed that the February 20 protest has terrified "Edi Rama's clique," who, according to him, deserve centuries of imprisonment and punishment.

"There is no nobler decision, no higher ideal than the battle against this regime, against this evil that has engulfed the body of Albania. And a special greeting to those tens of thousands of protesters who transformed February 20, 2026 into the most powerful peaceful uprising that Albania has known after February 20, 1991. February 20, 2026 was the day of your triumph. It was the day of the triumph of democratic ideals. The day of the triumph of civic courage. The day of the triumph of the responsibility of Albanian citizens towards their country, towards their nation. It was the day in which the whole of Tirana was in the hands of the citizens. The day that terrified this clique, this criminal organization headed by Edi Rama, which in its crimes it has committed deserves centuries, centuries, centuries of prison and punishments", declared Berisha.
