Today's plenary session is occupied by debates between representatives of the majority and the opposition. The cause is a statement by the Socialist Party that demands the expulsion of Sali Berisha from the Assembly because, according to them, of the language he used.
This statement was met with objections from the deputies of the Democratic Party. Some of them even have whistles with them.
Meanwhile, former Prime Minister Sali Berisha declared that he will not publish any erotic video he has on his cell phone that implicates government officials.
He said he will send those money to the investigative bodies. Berisha said that he "never insults a woman because he cannot behave towards them the way Edi Rama does".
"We are dealing with a very dangerous agent, a traitor to the USA, a fierce enemy of the opposition and Albanian democracy. In this case, every document that I have and will have, I will submit to the competent investigative bodies.
But again your curiosity about scenes and things, don't remember that I satisfy them, never. I have a complete censorship for every video, erotic message that comes to be published, it does not happen.
Where did she go? Why do you think that I will say the words that your president says, don't ever expect him. I am Sali Berisha, I am not Edi Rama who stops women every time he goes to the electoral campaign. I don't do it.
I'm not the one who knows what the ministers do in government meetings with the vocabulary of the thug who uses the dictionary. Never ask me for them.
I am bound to respect, whether I like it or not, I cannot publicly insult a woman. I didn't hear any, I mentioned names there. No name. But why did this thing burn? What's up with this? Why are you trying to cover up Edi Rama's secret relationship with McGonigal? Not covered by these. It's embarrassing. You are extremely misguided," said Berisha.
Meanwhile, the head of the parliamentary group of the Socialist Party Taulant Balla said that Berisha has made shameful statements in recent days and that this story with such language must end.
"Rightfully so, female MPs and members of the Government have raised a concern today. I would very much hope that at least the female MPs of the opposition would come out and read MP Berisha's statements 3 days ago. The statements of the prespeaker deputy were embarrassing and we told him, sir, take out the video. All kinds of nonsense, which at your age are embarrassing to imagine. My hope has been that the women's alliance will go beyond political divisions, no you hold the candle for a dead person, therefore again Madam President of the Assembly, we cannot stop here for the review of the request. It would be good for the alliance to meet tomorrow, listen to it and take it to your families. If they give you right, I apologize. The Secretariat of the Assembly must put an end to this story. Any attack of a sexist nature, said Balla.
27 MPs have signed the request to expel Berisha as according to them the chief democrat has crossed every ethical limit with the language used.
