Strong debates in the marathon session in the Parliament of Albania, where a number of important laws are being discussed, as well as criminal amnesty, the establishment of investigative commissions and others.
During his speech, socialist MP Erion Braçe pointed the finger at the then government of the Democrats, accusing them of being responsible for granting the largest number of concessions.
Braçe said that 97% of the concessions in the hydropower plant were granted by the democratic government, while only a short time before leaving power, it granted important concessions such as marking, scanning and passports.
"Three months before they ran away from power, they made the concession of technical control of vehicles, the concession of stamps, marking, scanning, and passports. They could have been made public. Do you understand that this form of concession can also be called sterilization, waxing or shaving, it is called in Albanian. It takes everything and leaves nothing. We can make the comparison with sales then and now.
I heard here and it caught my ear, "are there any of these in prison"? But you know very well, my husband, that there is also a report on corruption, the lawyers made it, and that's what you have to do with it. 6 months ago you didn't ask this question", declared Braçe.
He also emphasized the importance of water resources in the country, saying that there is a need for a study on them.
"The time has come to think beyond hydropower plants, to think about water. In the conditions of climate change, water will be a bigger problem for us as well, as it is today a problem for the South of Italy. We need a study on water resources, and on our behavior with water resources", Braçe said.
