Battle for the deputy's mandate, the Electoral College dismisses the case

The Electoral College reviewed today the request of Democrat Andia Ulliri for the mandate of MP.

Ulliri requested the reversal of the CEC decision that granted the mandate to Arjan Ndoja. Andia Ulliri was represented by lawyer Indrit Sefa, while Arjan Ndoja did not appear, but was represented by lawyer Rexhë Margjeka.

The former prosecutor's lawyer requested at the beginning of the hearing that the complainant Andia Ulliriti not be legitimized. The trial panel withdrew for a decision. After hearing the parties and being familiar with the lawyer's request, Ndoka decided to dismiss the case of Andia Ulliriti because she is not legitimized as a plaintiff.

The Democratic candidate, who seeks to take the mandate from former prosecutor Arian Ndoja due to the gender quota, has appealed to the Complaints and Sanctions Commission and the decision of Chief Commissioner Celibashi, who rejected her request one after another, arguing that the open and closed lists function separately.

Ulliri ran on the lists of the Democratic Party-Alliance for a Greater Albania in the Durrës district./Top Channel
