The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, during a meeting with Albanian immigrants in Milan, denounced the current government, describing it as a regime that plunders the assets of Albanians and imprisons political opponents.

"You live in a free country and you know that it does not happen that political opponents are imprisoned for stealing mandates. Roads and schools are not built at 10 times the price to rob citizens. A handful of thieves at the head of the state and government do not enrich themselves with the people's wealth," said Berisha.

He stressed that international support for the opposition is growing, noting that the main strategist for Donald Trump's comeback is now part of the DP campaign.

"Who would have believed it if I had said a few months ago that the planet's chief strategist had come to lead our campaign? Or that hundreds of center-right parties, in three resolutions, would condemn Edi Rama's regime and the narco-dictatorship?" he declared.

Berisha called on emigrants to engage and contribute to political change in Albania, emphasizing the importance of voting to overthrow the current government.
