Prime Minister Rama announced this morning that starting on March 3, the Spring bonus for pensioners will be distributed at Albanian Post offices and second-tier banks.
But criticism has come from commentators on Rama's social media, who say that this bonus is to take the votes of pensioners.
The Prime Minister, in the "Sy m'sy" column that he started a few weeks ago, has responded to these claims.
Rama: No, I don't say that. Because, first of all, I have had the vote of pensioners and I have it as an appreciation for the work of people who have lived by working and who know the value, the discomfort, and the price of work. Pensioners have all my admiration and gratitude and ours and with the pension reform in our first mandate we have ensured that whoever retired after the reform has a more dignified pension. Meanwhile, the terrible wound of the legacy of the total destruction of the logic of the pension scheme before we came to office, we are now trying to cure, either by increasing the amount and number of bonuses, or with the new reform that we are making. But without creating another fatal pyramid like those of Sude, Rrapushi and the "swamp owl". Is it enough? Unquestionably it is not enough. But is it much more than yesterday? To deny this means not thinking with your own mind, but speaking whatever the mud of the swamp puts in your mouth.
