Arrest of the father of the PSD candidate in Fier, SPAK: He gave cash and a ballot to a person!

SPAK has issued an official announcement regarding the arrest of Pandeli Bozha, father of PSD candidate Limonera Bozha.

SPAK announces that it has registered criminal proceedings for the criminal offenses of " Active Corruption in Elections " and " Passive Corruption in Elections " against this citizen.

According to what the prosecution reports, based on the investigations conducted, suspicion has been created that the citizen with the initials PB met with citizen VL in his apartment, and asked him for support in exchange for money for his daughter, who is a candidate for the PSD political entity.

SPAK announcement:

The Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime, on 08.05.2025, registered criminal proceedings no. 60/2025 for the criminal offenses of "Active Corruption in Elections" and "Passive Corruption in Elections", provided for by Articles 328 and 328/b of the Criminal Code.

The proceedings were registered based on the reference material of the Fier Local Police Directorate, while the investigations were conducted using proactive investigative methods.

Based on the investigations conducted, reasonable suspicion has been created so far that on 08.05.2025, at around 10:00, the citizen with the initials PB met with the citizen VL at the latter's apartment and asked for support for his daughter - a candidate for deputy of a political entity in the elections of 11 May 2025.

In exchange for support, citizen PB offered citizen VL a sum of money and a ballot paper similar to the one on the ballot, where the name of the candidate to be voted for was marked in orange.

During the checks, a ballot paper similar to the one used for voting and a banknote were seized.

The investigation results in the conclusion that citizen VL has committed the elements of the criminal offense "Passive corruption in elections", while citizen PB is suspected of committing the criminal offense "Active corruption in elections".

On 12.05.2025, at 02:00, the order of the special prosecutor for the detention of the citizen, PB, was executed, while the citizen, VL, was released.
