Sali Berisha

Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha appeared again at the media conference this Wednesday with the file in hand listing his truths regarding the accusations regarding the affair of the former "Partizani" club.

Asked if this judicial process is harming the Democratic Party, Berisha said that he is the one who is protecting the largest opposition party in the country from an "ugly political process".

Question: Why don't you conduct this battle that you have as Sali Berisha vs SPAK, but conduct it as PD vs Justice. Are you thus damaging the Democratic party for the 2025 elections?

Sali Berisha: How can I harm the DP when I am defending it against an ugly political process of its program?! How can I damage it? On the contrary, PD is and will remain the proud and inheritor of all these reforms that changed Albania. I have everything principled, programmatic facing an unimaginable political persecution. To say that I put the securities into use for my son-in-law is no such nonsense, they started to be used in 1995.

"When a single fact is presented, I make every decision, but with fabrications and slander there is never anything that forces me to withdraw, these prove that they are reforms from which hundreds of thousands of Albanians have benefited", the chief democrat emphasized.
