The head of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi , is explaining in a press conference the evidence he sent to SPAK yesterday regarding abuses by Deputy Prime Minister, Belinda Balluku .

Gazment Bardhi's reaction:
I will try to explain in as simple words as possible why, under the leadership of Belinda Balluku, the Mobile Thermal Power Plants affair smells of corruption and why I have asked SPAK to conduct a criminal investigation into this affair that has unjustly taken at least 80 million euros from Albanians.
First , the country was not in a state of emergency. The Prime Minister had not received any official notification of a long-term shortage of resources for electricity production.
Secondly, Minister Balluku has publicly stated that thermal power ships would only produce energy after 2 years, undermining the reason for the emergency for which the government was invested with a special decision.
Third , KESH developed chaotic procedures with tender deadlines for the thermal generation asset, which were different in Albanian and English. And they were not only different, but also very short, with the aim of favoring an operator predetermined by political bosses.
I'm dwelling on the deadlines to provide other information that proves that not only the alleged competition opened by KESH, but also the government's decision to authorize KESH in this procedure were fictitious, because the winner was predetermined.
The winning company Excelarate Energy, in official US records, has referred since January that it was notified by the Albanian state of the announcement of the winner. So, while the tender in Albania was still formally open, the company notified the relevant US authorities that it had won it. The Albanian side, represented by Belinda Balluku, announced the winner in March 2022.
"I believe that no one has any doubt that Belinda Balluku and the law are two points that do not meet anywhere ," he said.
