Parliament approves changes without opposition, immigrants with expired

The Assembly approves without opposition the amendments to the Normative Act, where immigrants with expired documents can vote in the May 11 elections.

The validity of expired immigrant documents is valid until May 31, 2025.

With 76 votes in favor, Normative Act No. 1 "On an addition to Law No. 8668, dated 23.10.2000, "On providing Albanian citizens with passports for travel abroad", as amended, was approved.

With 75 votes in favor and 1 abstention, Normative Act No. 2 “On an addition to Law No. 8952, dated 10.10.2002, “On the electronic identity card of Albanian citizens”, as amended”.

The Draft Decision "On the approval of the structure, organizational structure and classification of salaries of part-time personnel in support of the voting process from outside the territory of the Republic of Albania for the 2025 Assembly Elections" was approved with 75 votes in favor and 1 abstention.
