A strange event has happened in China. A man has left the first meeting with a girl and therefore he has been sued in court... But the story is a bit more complicated.

Foreign media reported that the boy, surnamed Liu, had met Miss Zhang through a matchmaker. Both of them had agreed to meet at a restaurant. But to the boy's surprise, the girl went there accompanied by 23 relatives.

After dinner, Liu was handed the bill, but was shocked that the girl's family had spent a total of around £2,230. In a panic, he left and forced the girl to pay the bill.

The latter said that she would pay if they split it in half. Liu agreed to pay a part, about 445 pounds, and said that the girl's family should pay the rest.

Angry, the girl's family sued the boy for this case. But the court ruled in Liu's favor, saying he could pay for himself and the girl, or about £156 to be exact.

This incident has caused debate in China. Most people lined up with the boy. Meanwhile, local experts said that taking 23 relatives exceeds the internationally accepted norms.
