Fiona Nishani, the daughter of the late former President Bujar Nishani, remembered her father on his birthday.

Through a touching post on Instagram, Fiona expresses the absence of her father.

"It's 12:00 and I can't congratulate you. I miss my dad very much", writes Fiona.

The family and relatives have commemorated this day by expressing their pain for the absence and void left by the former President.

This year, Nishani would have celebrated his 56th birthday, but the former Albanian head of state passed away on May 28, after his health worsened in a hospital in Germany where he had been hospitalized.

The former president was sent to Germany for treatment, after suffering from bilateral pneumonia with respiratory failure, as a result of complications caused by Covid-19.

Bujar Nishani was born in Durrës on September 29, 1966.
