A 70-year-old man has gone viral on the internet after the question he wrote for The Sun magazine:

"Loneliness has pushed me to pay to meet an escort, but now I'm too ashamed," he says.

*The 70-year-old's account of The Deidre:

Ever since my wife was placed in a nursing home after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's, I feel lost.

We have not spent a single day apart since we were teenagers, today I am 70 and she is 68 years old.

I promised myself that I would never send him to a nursing home, but I couldn't take care of him enough on my own. Now I feel like I let him down.

She barely looks at me when I go to see her, I have no friends, and our only son travels all over the country.

In a moment of desperation, I found an escort's number online. I met this woman and we drank tea and talked. She hugged me at the end.

I was nervous at first, but I didn't feel alone. We didn't have sex, but I'm disgusted with myself.
