Neuropediatrician Migena Bedeni Kika, speaking on the "Dita Jonë" show on A2CNN, said that a 2025 study showed that women who gave birth to boys have a lower predisposition to breast cancer.

Also, women with male fetuses are more likely to survive the tumor more easily, compared to those who have had female fetuses.

"A definitive answer was provided to some extent by a meta-analysis of 2025, a study that reviewed 12 previous studies, conducting a statistical analysis regarding the effect of circulating cells with thousands of individuals, and it was seen that male fetal cells play a protective role in the mother, for most tumors, for breast tumors, ovarian tumors, uterine, thyroid. Those who have given birth to a boy have a lower predisposition to be affected by breast cancer. Statistically, it was found that the predisposition is 70-80 percent lower in women who have had a pregnancy with a male baby. Even if they get breast cancer, they have a predisposition to get over the tumor more easily," she said.
