The 2022 Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ is part of a limited edition series of just 30 models. The highly sought-after hypercar is capable of reaching speeds of just over 490 kmh.
To put this speed into context, the world's largest passenger plane, the Airbus A 380, with more than 850 people, takes off at about 300 km/h.
The Franco-Italian manufacturer of luxury sports cars celebrated its 110th anniversary with a major achievement in 2019: former Le Mans winner Andy Wallace drove a new prototype to top speed at an unprecedented 490 km/h.
Following this remarkable achievement, a limited production run of the car was produced, called the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+. The luxury car has an eight-liter turbocharged engine and 1,577 horsepower – for comparison, a Volkswagen Polo has 95.
Only eight of the 30 models made it to the US, and this will be the first time one of them has gone on sale publicly. The car is being auctioned by US firm Bonhams Cars and will go on sale in Scottsdale, Arizona, USA on January 25, for an estimated price of $5-5.5 million (€4.56 million-€5.2 million). .
