Actress Monika Lubonja and activist Zhaklin Lekatari debated in the studio of the show 'Today' in Euronews Albania regarding the organization of the protest for the 11-year-old raped in Kosovo.
Activist Zhaklin Lekatari said that she was invited to the protest by Xheni Karai, who, as she said, had also prepared the messages and slogans for the protest that was scheduled to be held at 6:30 p.m.
"The municipality contacts me and asks for a list of the women's association in the capital. And when I asked them what they need them for, they told me that some girls from Kosovo have expressed their desire to organize the protest in solidarity with the 11-year-old. I said, we can all join together and meet at 6.30. Yesterday's protest was the wish of the citizens of Tirana, so I am sorry when the focus of this protest is solidarity against violence" , said the activist.
But Lubonja said that she and the singer from Kosovo, Fifi had organized the protest, after contacting the municipality and obtaining permission for the square where the protest would be organized.
"It was something you saw in Fifi, that her emotional state was very burdened. From 1 to 2 or 3 in the morning we got endless people on the phone. Many people answered me, the next day I told Fifi that I want to make some hats and t-shirts. Several slogans were thrown and at one point I thought of a slogan: 'I shouted no', so that it would be something of ours" , Lubonja said.
