With summer fast approaching, many of us tend to head to the beach, especially to enjoy the sea.

But few of us know that there is an aquatic phenomenon that is seemingly delightful, yet it is very dangerous. These are 'square waves', which as soon as you see them you have to get out of the water immediately.

Also known as the 'sea concentration' wave pattern occurs when two distinct weather conditions collide as they move in different directions.

So if you are caught in the middle of a 'sea crossroads', you can find two sets of waves crashing into you at the same time. This, as you can imagine, is pretty awful. Also, a study has found that this state of the sea is actually quite common.
