Radio Television of Northern Macedonia has reacted harshly after the action of the country's representative in Eurovision, Andrea Koevska, due to a gesture she made during the opening ceremony of the festival that was held yesterday.

Andrea was posing in front of photographers, where at one point she threw the Macedonian flag on the ground.

In the public reaction, it is said that “ the public service does not stand in any way behind this scandalous behavior of our Eurovision representative, who with that gesture showed disrespect for the national symbol, which is punished by law. MRT expects Andrea to apologize to the citizens for such behavior.

The public service is considering the possibility of withdrawing from Eurovision, although care will be taken not to cause more damage to MRT. " As for the responsibilities in the Macedonian delegation, all legal possibilities will be taken for a stricter sanction for this scandal ", it is said in the reaction.
