The prison officer who was filmed having sex with an inmate in his prison cell at HMP Wandswoth has been arrested by police on charges of abuse of office and conduct unbecoming of a public servant.

According to British media, warden Linda De Sousa Abreu , 31, previously appeared in a Channel Four documentary about threesomes and orgies.

She is understood to have quit her job as a prison officer at the South London jail following the scandal.

The video, which has been widely shared on social media, shows the woman, dressed in uniform, performing a sexual act with a criminal in a prison cell. While the guard has sex with the criminal, his cellmate films the scenes with a cell phone.

A group of prison guards from a single prison were fired after it was discovered that they had sexual interactions with inmates.

British media have raised the alarm over revelations that 18 prison guards were fired for having affairs at the UK's largest prison, HMP Berwyn, a privately run prison in Wrexham, North Wales.

The shocking revelations came after Freedom of Information requests were made by the Mirror after three of the women involved ended up in court over their interactions.

One of the prison guards was even caught exchanging hot photos with one of the inmates and was later found to have smuggled a phone for her boyfriend.

Jennifer Gavan was paid £150 by thief Alex Coxon to bring her mobile - Gavan was jailed for eight months after being convicted of misconduct.

Emily Watson became involved with drug dealer John McGee, who was behind bars for causing death by dangerous driving - he is serving eight years.

Meanwhile, Ayshea Gunn was involved in sending "highly sexualised" pictures and videos to armed robber Khuram Razaq.

The employment system has since been criticized by Mark Fairhurst, chairman of the Association of Prison Officers.

According to Ministry of Justice statistics, 32 female prison officers have been fired in England and Wales for inappropriate relationships with prisoners since the start of 2019.
